HISTORY


Established in 1996, the association was formed under the guidance of the National Irrigation Administration (NIA) with the aim of fostering agricultural development and community cooperation. Since its inception, it has worked to strengthen local capacities and ensure sustainable irrigation practices among its members. The organization later formalized its structure and operations by registering with the Securities and Exchange


Since its founding in 1996, the association has grown into a resilient and active organization comprising 70 dedicated members. Formed under the vision of agricultural cooperation and local empowerment, it has steadily played a vital role in promoting sustainable farming practices and community development within Balangiga, Eastern Samar. Over the years, it has become a cornerstone of support for smallholder farmers, encouraging inclusive participation and fostering solidarity among its members.


Strategically located along the Farm-to-Market Road in Balangiga, Eastern Samar, the association serves as an accessible and central hub for agricultural exchange and community coordination. Its location allows for efficient transport of goods, improved market access, and stronger connectivity between farmers and local stakeholders. This physical presence also facilitates regular meetings, training sessions, and the implementation of developmental programs aimed at improving both productivity and livelihoods.


In line with its commitment to transparency and institutional growth, the association registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), formalizing its operations and strengthening its credibility. This legal recognition has opened doors to partnerships with government agencies, non-profit organizations, and other support networks. THE AMANLARA IRRIGATORS ASSOCIATION CONDUCTING TRAININGS


Alfonso Dadoylan has been instrumental in advancing agricultural knowledge through the conduct of Farmer Field School (FFS) trainings, which focus on empowering farmers with hands-on learning and practical skills. His efforts have helped participants deepen their understanding of integrated pest management, soil fertility, water resource management, and sustainable farming techniques. By facilitating these sessions, Dadoylan has contributed to building local capacity, encouraging innovation, and fostering a collaborative spirit among farming communities striving for resilience and productivity.

CONDUCTING TRAINING IN BRGY SANTA ROSA


In 2018, the association conducted a pivotal training session in Santa Rosa, aimed at enhancing the skills and knowledge of local farmers through hands-on learning and collaborative exchange. The program focused on practical techniques in sustainable agriculture, resource management, and community-based development, empowering participants to apply innovative solutions in their respective fields. This initiative not only strengthened individual capacities but also reinforced the association’s commitment to grassroots empowerment and long-term rural resilience.

CONDUCTING TRAININGS IN BRGY CAG-OLANGO AND CANSUMANGKAY


In 2024, the association extended its outreach by conducting targeted training sessions in the communities of Cag Olango and Cansumangkay, reinforcing its commitment to grassroots development and agricultural empowerment. These initiatives focused on equipping local farmers with practical knowledge in sustainable farming, resource management, and cooperative strategies, fostering stronger community ties and enhancing productivity. By bringing these programs directly to remote areas, the association demonstrated its dedication to inclusive capacity-building and long-term rural resilience.

THE TRAINEE'S GET CERTIFICATE IN TRAININGS


As part of the association's commitment to recognizing and encouraging active participation, trainees who successfully completed the agricultural training programs were awarded certificates and sweatshirts. These tokens of appreciation not only symbolize the knowledge and skills gained but also foster a sense of pride, unity, and achievement among participants. The gesture reflects the association's belief in celebrating community effort and reinforcing the value of ongoing learning in strengthening rural development.

MORE ON RICE FIELDS AND VEGETABLES AND CORN


The association primarily focuses on the cultivation and development of rice fields, which serve as the backbone of its agricultural initiatives and the main livelihood source for its members. Complementing this core activity, it also engages in the production of vegetables and corn as secondary pursuits, offering diversification and added value to local farming efforts. This balanced approach not only strengthens food security in the region but also promotes sustainable land use and economic stability among smallholder farmers.
